Songs on the Lawn
The program will provide an opportunity to reach families and individuals who may not be familiar with library services and programs and encourage participants to utilize this valuable community resource; provide and promote a positive and visible presence at a popular community event; create an opportunity to network with local businesses and organizations to support and contribute to library programs, events and the library’s collection; and support local businesses and organizations as a partner in community events and encourage continued and future partnerships and collaborative projects.
The audience for Songs on the Lawn was large and diverse. The library’s presence provided attendees with an opportunity to find out more about the library and its services and to sign children up for the Summer Reading Program. The library signed up approximately 100 children during the four days and provided information to dozens more. General comments were very positive that the library was a meaningful part of Songs on the Lawn.
