Project Overview
The Fairmont Market Square is a community event that brings together local artists, crafters, gardeners and more for a day full of family events. The Martin County Library participated in the October Market Square by hosting a booth show from the MN Raptor Center. For the booth show, the MN Raptor Center brought three birds of prey: a Peregrine Falcon, an American Kestrel and a Bald Eagle. People stopped by the exhibit area to view the birds and to learn about the birds from the Raptor Center staff. We also had library information available and a sign noting the sponsorship of the event. It was a multi-generational event with more than 500 visitors during the four hours of the booth.
