Project Overview
Arn Kind, local historian and re-enactment actor, presents a brand new program in which he discusses and role- plays highlights historical firsts for Minnesota. They include Minnesota’s involvement in the Civil War and World War II, the James/Younger outlaw gang and the first trans-Atlantic solo flight. Because of the content and Arn’s vast knowledge of these topics, time dictated that this program be divided into two presentations. Because of the positive response from Part 1 as well as many requests from the audience, Part 2 will cover those events that were excluded previously. Arn will cover Minnesota’s participation in the Civil War and highlights from Minnesota’s own Charles Lindbergh and his trans-Atlantic solo flight.

The audience will gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of the history of Minnesota as well as being treated to historically accurate personal accounts and tools, weapons and costumes of the period. Program success will be based on anecdotal responses at the conclusion of the program.
Measurable Outcome(s)
As with previous presentations with Arn Kind, the audience was entertained and enlightened by Mr. Kind’s attention to detail and passion of his subject matter. The verbal responses after his program were all positive and the participants stated they would enjoy his other presentations.
