Minnesota's Angling Past with Author Tom Uehling
Written surveys will be distributed to all attendees. A majority of respondents will indicate they learned something new about Minnesota's fishing history, are interested in learning more about Minnesota history, are interested in reading more about fishing and Minnesota fishing and will share a positive review of the program. Library staff will observe a majority of attendees actively engaged in the program by listening quietly and asking questions. Anecdotal responses from attendees will confirm their enjoyment of the program.
Survey respondents indicated they learned something new about Minnesota' fishing history. 90% indicated they were interested in learning more about Minnesota history, and 70% indicated they were interested in reading more about fishing and Minnesota fishing. Librarian observed attendees at both programs quietly listening to the program. Questions were asked at both sessions, and audience members remained after the formal presentation to purchase books and speak with the author. At Orchard Hill, residents reminisced about fishing, sharing stories about how and where they fished as children.
