Project Overview
This proposal is for fee-title acquisition on 78 acres of private land in Houston County. Upon purchase from Pheasants Forever / Quail Forever, the land would be donated to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as an addition to the Winnebago Creek Wildlife Management Area. This acquisition would be the first of it's kind under our Quail Forever banner. Houston County has Minnesotas highest concentration of remaining Quail and protecting this property is a step in our plan to protect and grow Quail populations in Minnesota. Currently this property is being utilized as a pasture.
