Round Lake Forest Enhancement 1

These sites were previously planted, but were heavily damaged by deer browse, and wiped out by a tansy invasion from a nearby recreation trail. The tansy is being treated chemically this spring along with the recreation trail using county funds. There are currently no trees on this site due to the tansy. The site should be fully forested instead of being a large grassy opening to stay consistant with the landscape. It was once mostly conifers prior to turn of the century logging. Soils are sandy and gravelly which are conducive to growing pine.
