KMOJ - Minnesota Community Heros
KMOJ is producing a series of cultural sixty second vignettes that highlight little known African Americans in the Twin Cities who are making major contributions toward the betterment of the community through mentorship and/or community engagement. These individuals are usually unknown and their contributions are not even heard about other than by the people who are close to them. They could be a mother raising a number of foster children, a father metoring a number of young men in the community and keeping them on the right track, or artists and authors teaching our youth healthy ways to express themselves.
An estimated number of listeners for the segments, response from the website campaign and number of Facebook impressions and commints for those posted on Facebook. We will also post vignettes on the AMPERS/PRX website and calculate impressions.
KMOJ produced twenty-four segments in total for this project, and partnered with the African American History Museum.
