Project Overview
This project will restore 30 acres of Three Rivers Park District property to a native oak-aspen forest via the planting of approximately 50,000 tree and shrub seedlings. The planting will be a continuation of Three Rivers Park District's overall long-term vegetation management plan for Hyland Park Reserve, and will consist of a diversity of native plant material. At least 30 different species will be used, all of which are produced from locally collected seeds and grown at the Park District's Nursery located in Crow-Hassan Park Reserve.
