Project Overview
A series of various children’s programming was held. The Schiffelly Puppets presented a family-friendly parody of the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale, The Little Mermaid, as the evil Ursula learns a lesson about bullying at each of our 14 branch libraries. Hans Mayer presented a musical program at the Mora Public Library while Wendy’s Wiggle Jiggle Jam presented musical programs at each of our 7 outreach sites and 2 link sites. Plus ventriloquist, James Wedgwood, visited the Chisago Lakes Area Library for a special program.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees at each of our branch libraries will be exposed to a classic fairy tale, learn a lesson on bullying, and have the opportunity to observe the mechanics of puppetry at each Schiffelly Puppet performance. Attendees to the programs at each of our Outreach, Link sites and Mora Public Library by Wendy Baldinger and Hans Mayer will sing along with a children’s performer, learn some new songs, and exercise by dancing to the music. Those attending the performance of ventriloquist, James Wedgwood will learn about the mechanics and tricks of the trade of ventriloquism. Attendees at all venues will learn about the upcoming summer reading program and learn that coming to a library no matter where it may be is fun!
