Trail renewal projects are intended to improve accessibility, enhance user safety and implement current best management practices.
Measurable Outcome(s) 
The reconstruction and renewal of 0.25 miles of the Willard Munger State Trail in the City of Duluth is to be completed during October 2011. This segment of the existing state trail renewal project included the widening and replacement of the trail's bituminous surface, culvert replacements, improvements to several municipal sidewalk/trail intersections, vegetation management and enhanced informational signs.
