Our goals were met with all 7th and 8th grade students writing and reading works. Students indicated in the questionnaire, they were very impressed and inspired by his poems and knowledge of "hip hop". They were engaged and their teacher indicated they loved that they "felt heard". Students, administration and the cooperating teacher were impressed with the residency and the artist was amazed at our students in northern Minnesota and their respect and excitement for learning.
