Kailey Babcock, Trek North student from Bemidji, was awarded $600 to mentor with visual artist Malisa VanMaasdam, also of Bemidji, to refine her drawing skills, expand her subject matter, broaden her skills in painting, and organize a show.To measure whether she has achieved her first three outcomes, the studentÆs teacher will offer a critique and comparative evaluation of the studentÆs work before the mentorship and after. A visitor survey and mentor and student evaluation will measure the success of the art show.
