Administering Agency: State agency or entity that distributes and administers the funds.
Appropriation: Authorization to spend money from the state treasury for purposes established in law.
Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund: One of four constitutionally dedicated funds created by the clean water, land and legacy amendment to the Minnesota Constitution.
Clean Water Fund: One of four constitutionally dedicated funds created by the clean water, land and legacy amendment to the Minnesota Constitution.
Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund: Constitutionally dedicated fund established in 1988 through an amendment to the Minnesota Constitution.
Fiscal Year: The accounting period for the state of Minnesota that runs from July 1 to June 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2012 begins on July 1, 2011 and ends on June 30, 2012.
Funding Amount: The dollar amount allocated to a project from one of the four Legacy Amendment funds or from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund.
Funding Source: The constitutionally dedicated fund from which the dollars were allocated.
Legal Citation: Legal authority from session law or statute that authorizes the funding for a project.
Measureable Outcome: The actual measureable results of a project submitted upon completion of a project.

Parks and Trails Fund: One of four constitutionally dedicated funds created by the clean water, land and legacy amendment to the Minnesota Constitution.
Project Manager: Individual designated to serve as the principal contact for the project.
Proposed Measureable Outcome: The anticipated measureable results of a project submitted at the start of a project.
Recipient: Entity or individual receiving funds from either the Legacy Amendment or from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund to carry out a project.
Recipient Type: Type of entity receiving funds.

Watershed: The total land area that drains water to a river, stream or lake.
Watershed District: Local, special-purpose units of government that work to solve and prevent water-related problems.
