Acquire the 25.84 acres of the Bertram Chain of Lakes. This property consists of 1,200 acres, including four undeveloped lakes (5.75 miles of lake shore and 1.5 miles of streams), in Wright County. Through our Mississippi River Blufflands Protection Initiative, the Land Trust will protect 300-500 acres of land in the blufflands region of southeastern Minnesota--an area that contains unique and ecologically important prairie, oak savanna and grassland habitat along with outstanding forested bluffs, woodlands, wetlands and cold water trout streams along the Mississippi River.
